Director of Emerging Markets

FPP Asset Management LLP (FPP) is a specialist investment management company focused on traditional and alternative investment in Emerging Markets. The London based business has been operating since 1998. FPP offers a diverse range of funds within long-only and long-short strategies in Emerging Market Equities, Emerging Market Fixed Income and Emerging Market Private Equity.

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a proven track record of closed deals to join our team to lead opportunities with a focus on Ukraine.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

- Responsible for acquiring and analysing market insights and data points across and within key emerging markets;

- Participate actively in the potential deal evaluation;

- Sourcing new deals;

- Perform data gap analyses, leveraging available in house and external data sources;

- Analyse key macro- and micro-economic trends in and across key markets and industries;

- Responsible for the translation of this information into strategy recommendations;

- Develop the strategy and plan for emerging market Business Intelligence and market insights in the Ukraine;

- Lead, manage and motivate team members to ensure a quality investment transaction proves from initial identification of opportunities through to due diligence, negotiations, execution and management;

- Managing internal and external advisors;

- Perform other ad hoc duties as needed, including: Ensure data integrity of portfolio, attend industry conferences, provide market commentary etc

Minimum Requirements — Education and Experience

• Graduate in a relevant subject. MBA/CFA or similar preferred.
• Significant relevant experience;
• Fluency in Ukrainian and regional cultural awareness are essential;
• Strong presentation skills. Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Ability to read and evaluate complex documentation and structures
• Proven leadership and program management experience.
• Commercial awareness
• Excellent communication skills and cross-cultural awareness
• Ability to think strategically and critically evaluate risks.
