NEW YORK—( BUSINESS WIRE )—EJ Sterling LLC would like to congratulate John Parmigiani in the successful completion of the Level One Chartered Market Technician examination 1.

“When I heard John passed level 1, I was not surprised. I’ve known John for almost 15 years and when he sets his mind to something he does it. I couldn’t be happier,” said Robert Costomiris President, CEO.

When the MTA confers the honor of the chartered market technician (CMT) designation, it certifies to the exchanges, the investment community and the public that the candidate has the full and comprehensive body of knowledge and technical skills from past and present to be able to conduct research, sign their names to research reports, recommend trades and investment programs, and even trade proprietary accounts with proficiency. With trillions of dollars flowing through the financial markets on any given day, the importance of the CMT designation bestows a greater confidence to those that are charged with the management of that money.

“I was once told that knowledge is power, to never stop learning. It’s our goal to educate our registered reps and clients and provide them with the best tools and resources available. There’s an old adage that says, “Success comes when preparation meets opportunity.” We want our reps and clients to be prepared for investment opportunities by being both proactive and reactive to the volatility of the markets and to really understand sound and proven methods of investing. This is one of many initiatives we are taking which I have no doubt will separate us from the crowd,” said John Parmigiani.

Right now there are approximately 633,000 registered reps in the United States of America, with approximately 1400 active level 3 CMT holders in the entire world. Active CMT holders compose less than 1% off all registered reps in the United States of America.

The Chartered Market Technician (CMT) Program requires candidates to demonstrate proficiency in a broad range of topics in the field of Technical Analysis. The Program consists of three levels.

CMT level 1 measures basic, entry level competence and a working knowledge of the basic tools of the market technician.
