Introduction to Lightspeed Trader version 8.1

Lightspeed Trader 8.1 features a new user interface designed to make it easier than ever to configure and navigate the system. In this video well highlight a few of the most exciting additions and changes.

Youll notice that the new index bar allows you to fully customize how symbols and account information are displayed. This is done from the Index tab in the configuration settings.

The Index Bar also allows you to manage multiple accounts from the same Lightspeed log‐in, making it more convenient to monitor orders and positions for more than one account. This is a particularly helpful feature for institutional traders who manage multiple accounts, registered investment advisors, and traders that employ different strategies across multiple accounts. To choose which account you want to trade in, simply select from the drop down on the new Index bar. To monitor and manage all orders and positions, select Show All Accounts in the Positions and Orders windows.

Weve also added the ability to maximize individual windows within a layout. Just click the box on the banner in any window to fully maximize it.

The new Custom Orders configuration settings allow you to create new commands, edit, clone, and create opposites of existing commands. Now, once you create a new custom command you can click Map Key Now to bring you to the keyboard map to assign a key to your new command.

The Account Summary window also has a new look and feel and allows you greater customization to change colors and text alignment in the columns.
