Meet fellow traders or want to be traders. Educate yourself into the art and science of trading. Learn the laws of supply and demand and how to capitalize from this knowledge. Understand how price action, and price action alone, is the sole indicator you will really need for your trading strategy. No need to buy or rely on expensive indicators that really do not work most of the time. Instill discipline and do not let your emotions affect your decision making. How to write your trading plans and rules so you do not get carried away by your emotions. Familiarize yourself with the markets and instruments to trade. What do you want to trade? Stocks, futures, forex, index? Do you want to use derivatives such as options? What types of options? Directional or non directional? Choose the best hours of the day to trade that fits your personality and schedule. A night owl? No problem, trade currencies (forex) or futures, an almost 24 hours market. Got a day job but very motivated? Day trade at the market open at 6:30 a.m. heading to work. Investor? Trade the longer time frames. Review and place your trades in the evening. Retired or long term unemployed? You may want to consider trading as your career choice.

The market offers so much opportunities everyday. We live in very exciting times. The markets have been closing record highs for the last 4 years. This is a market dictated by central bankers. Fundamental and technical analysis tools that worked before may no longer be as effective interpreting price action. By the way, did you know you can make money in the markets whether it is going up, down, or sideways? Yes, you can.
