Peter leeds stock picks Archives Penny Stock WhizzKid

Peter Leeds started trading at 14 years, investing $3,600 into a penny stock company called Siberian Pacific Resources. Within two weeks he had lost his entire investment and learned a valuable lesson about the dangers of penny stock investing. He spent the next couple of years studying and learned how to research micro cap stocks. He also learned alot from his trading mentors Warren Buffet and Peter Lynch, reading dozens of financial books. He began by paper trading which was the biggest key to his success. Over the years he has continued to refine and tweak his trading strategy targeted towards shares under $5.

Peter Leeds has been featured in media outlets such as CBS, FOX, NBC, CNNfn, Russia Today and Associated Press. Also known as the Penny Stock Professional, he publishes a penny stock investing newsletter, which has sold over 35,000 subscriptions. He maintains that he and his team receive no compensation and doesnt invest in any of his stock picks.

He focuses on finding high-quality small cap companies with good management, little or no debt, growing revenue, expanding market share and massive upside potential. He has written 3 books on the subject of penny stocks (his latest book penny stock for dummies) and has spoken at various stock market seminars.

Pros

  • His picks are unbiased.
  • He has his own research team.
  • Great customer service and you can call his support team if you have any problems.
  • Doesnt collect your email address and spam you like other investment newsletters
  • He has his own Facebook page where he answers traders questions about penny stocks.
  • He is not a scam which is refreshing in the corrupted world that is penny stocks.
  • Helps newbies grasp a good understanding of how penny stocks work and how to avoid the common pitfalls of trading small cap stocks.
  • Has been around for over 13 years and have heard very few complaints of his service.
  • Great for people who have a full time job or dont have the time to do their own research.
  • Offers a free trial unlike other newsletters.
  • Seems like an all round nice guy.

Cons

  • His newsletter is not what it used to be over the last year or two the quality of his stock recommendations have declined and less members are making money on his picks. (His performance has not been helped by the current economic crisis)
  • Recently he has been focusing alot of his time on marketing his service. He writes alot of press releases highlighting how great his service is.
  • The past performance of his picks cant really be fully trusted unless you join his service and see for yourself.
  • He doesnt show any of the stocks he invests in and his trades could be verified on a website like covestor or profitly.
  • His newsletter sends out a bunch of stocks, if they do well he puts them on his site and if they do badly they disappear and are forgotten about.
  • Only recommends stocks under $5 which are very speculative and may not be for everyone.
  • His membership costs $197 a year, it would be better to charge a monthly service fee of $30.

Inconclusion I would give his service a 7/10. If you have the money you should try it out for yourself and you may or may not make a big return on one of his picks.
