This letter is to express my interest in pursuing a career in finance. Based on my skills in relationship building and my ability to communicate clearly with others, I am confident that I would be a great addition to any company.

My resume that highlights my ability/knowledge/expertise in economics and finance is enclosed. During my time as a Professional Golfer, I was able to compete at a high level and achieve success throughout my life. In college I was able to carry a full course load and graduate with honors, as well as being recognized as a scholar athlete and being named to the All Big Ten Conference academic team. This was in addition to practicing twice a day and traveling to golf tournaments numerous weeks each month. I was able create a schedule to achieve success in both academics and athletics. I believe my ability to organize numerous tasks, and complete each in a timely manner will be a great asset to your company. The lessons I learned playing sports at the highest level will translate into a successful business career. I am a determined, self-driven individual who takes pride in completing any task given me to my best ability, regardless of obstacles or set-backs. I am able to learn new skills quickly and apply them immediately.

Although I have never held a job in finance, I have consumed as much knowledge as possible on my own to better prepare myself for a career in the world of finance. I set aside time each day to read the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times to better understand market conditions. Given the opportunity, I will work tirelessly to perform each task thoroughly and without error.
