Providing global investment expertise and insights for over 30 years and a renowned global investment leader in Multi-asset solutions, Specialty Equity and Fixed Income strategies, and Alternatives. Americas Distribution business within UBS Global AM is a longstanding provider of investment servicing solutions designed to help clients achieve their investment goals.

The Business Development Associate is an integral part of the Americas Institutional Distribution group. The primary focus of the role is to provide business development support to the Client Advisors in the Corporate team, on multiple levels. The Business Development Associate works with the Client Service, Consultant Relations and Sales teams or independently, in conjunction with our internal resources, to structure successful and profitable relationships.

Responsibilities

Partner with Client Advisors to develop new relationships and build upon those already existing within the territory. This includes developing and implementing business plans around focus firms and identifying business opportunities.

oWork with external and internal business partners (platform distribution, sales, product, marketing, legal and compliance) to execute against business plan and produce a distribution partner value model that enables senior management to better assess distribution commitments and priorities.

o Can thoroughly communicate and understand UBS Global AM’s product philosophy, process, objectives and positioning.

o Stay abreast of and anticipate market developments and client sentiment; work with colleagues to feed these into product development and management strategies and processes.

o Work with external / internal partners to resolve complex client issues.

o Adherence to all compliance guidelines including use of pre-approved marketing materials, fund prospectus requirements and proper licensing.

o Fulfill, in a timely manner, required team responsibilities such as CRM/Call reporting, expense reports, conference calls and meetings. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing or related field

Three to five years of business development experience is required, and experience in financial services is highly preferred (Rank title is negotiable pending experience)

Knowledge of eVestment Alliance, Zephyr, Morningstar and other financial applications preferred

Certified in Series 3, 7 and 63 or willing to obtain certification

CFA and/or CAIA or progress towards is strongly encouraged

Possess excellent presentation, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills

Ability to manage a wide range of tasks

Must be attentive, responsive and efficient in a fast-paced environment

Must be a client-focused and enthusiastic team player with the ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with our team and other teams we partner with Preferred Qualifications *LI-CD1
