Exchange Traded Funds or ETFs are an almost perfect vehicle for trend trading. Because they hold a basket of issues that is well defined and not subject to a discretionary manager’s picks, you can confidently execute your trend trading system. Trading ETFs is as easy as trading individual stocks and bonds plus, they give a trader easy access to commodities, currencies and futures. I hope you caught it when I said trend trading system because to be a successful trader you must have a trading system.
