Is there anything more alluring than the thought of a ten-bagger micro-cap stock? Tiny stocks with big potential. With help from DividendChannel.com we have taken this ideal one step further. Here you will find details on micro-cap companies most people have never heard of, but still have a strong history of paying dividends.

Solid dividends and high yields are great indicators of a company that is in decent financial shape, and thus make a great starting point when vetting micro-caps. DividendChannel.com used its proprietary DividendRank formula to isolate companies from 17 different sectors that have small market caps but also big dividends. In order to make the list, these stocks also passed additional screenings for dividend history and yield, book value and quarterly earnings.

The resulting list provides investment opportunities that have the potential to provide solid returns with the least amount of risk that can be found among their peers. Do keep in mind however, that there are additional risks involved with small stocks. Micro-caps are thinly traded so you may have to deal with large bid/ask spreads when buying or selling. Micro-caps are also more volatile than large-caps.

Here are a look at 5 that made DividendChannel’s list.
