Content
The presentation follows a light, easy-to-read format. The course comprises 15 short sessions, each of approximately 10 minutes viewing duration, plus four interactive reviews that confirm the viewer’s achievement of learning objectives. The total duration of the course is approximately three hours.

Brian Tang CFA
Brian has successfully led Fundamental Research Corp’s growth from start up to being named the 20th fastest growing company in B.C. in 2008 according to Business in Vancouver. During this period he, and his team, have achieved recognition for their analysis in small and micro cap companies. He is co-author of two online courses including the very successful “Evaluation of Junior Mining Companies for Investment Purposes“, which has evolved into classroom courses, seminars, and is in demand at investment conferences across North America.
He has authored numerous articles on finance topics and is currently a contributing editor for Canadian Money Saver Magazine. In addition, he frequently contributes time to help students interested in finance including being invited to judge The Simon Fraser University Finance International Case Competition and being an industry mentor in the Global International Research Competition hosted by the CFA Societies of BC. Brian also taught the Canadian Securities Course and the Investment Funds in Canada Course for a number of years, and has been invited to speak to finance students about the life of an analyst at local colleges in Vancouver.
Brian is dedicated to bringing more awareness to the Exempt Markets in Canada, as he has successfully done in the small, micro cap, and junior resource sector. To this end, he helped organize the first ever conference aimed at helping mainstream investors discover this segment of the Canadian Capital Markets.
Prior to Fundamental Research Corp. Brian was an analyst in the corporate banking group of one of the world’s largest international banks where he analyzed Financial Post 500 companies in a wide range of industries. He introduced new analysis techniques and models to the evaluation process during this period. Prior to this, he worked at a financial advisory firm where he analyzed and published research on Canadian equity mutual funds which was subsequently published in national newspapers such as the National Post and Globe and Mail.
Brian holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance with a minor in Economics) from Simon Fraser University where he was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Brian is a member of the CFA Institute (formerly the Association for Investment Management and Research) and an active member of CFA Vancouver (formerly the Vancouver Society of Financial Analysts).
Siddharth Rajeev MBA
At Fundamental Research Corp, Sid heads the research department which has covered over 250 small and micro cap companies and 80 exempt market/private issues from a broad array of industries including Energy, Mining, Real Estate and Technology. He also manages the FRC list of Top Picks, which are the stocks under coverage which he has the highest conviction level about. These picks have historically helped the firm finish strong in various third party analyst performance rankings.
Sid holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics Engineering from Cochin University of Science & Technology, and an MBA (Finance) from The University of British Columbia. He is a CFA Charterholder, and has completed studies in exploration and prospecting at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Sid is sought by the media for commentary on the valuation of small cap stocks and industries he covers.
