I have a Mac ®. Can I use StreetSmart Edge?

Yes. Mac users can run StreetSmart Edge by using a Windows ® emulator. A Windows emulator is an installed software program that allows computers using the Mac Operating System (OS) to run Windows-based programs. For more details, go to System Requirements tab.

Can I get real-time balance information and streaming quotes on StreetSmart Edge?

Yes. You can keep track of your gains and losses, and you can monitor your balances in real time. Additionally, you will have access to streaming quotes and real-time charting.

What types of orders can I place on StreetSmart Edge?

You can place market, limit, stop-limit, trailing-stop, and trailing-stop-limit equity orders. You can also add a bracket to your buy order or existing position. Additionally, you can place various types of simple and complex options orders (using an options-approved account).

I trade options. How does StreetSmart Edge support options trading?

StreetSmart Edge offers streaming Level II options quotes along with max gain/max loss and breakeven calculations right in the trading window. Additionally, you can view historical pricing data to help assess time impact. You can also customize the quote function to include option Greeks, midpoint, and more. Plus you can trade basic and multi-leg options with automatic electronic access to all primary listed options exchanges.

What type of charting capabilities does StreetSmart Edge offer?

With StreetSmart Edge, you can create and customize up to 20 real-time charts, each with up to 20 tabs, creating a possible 400 charts to help support your research and strategy needs. You can choose from multiple chart styles, time frames, and technical indicators. You can also synchronize charts by linking them to each other or to other tools.

What is chart pattern recognition?

Chart pattern recognition helps support your decision making by automating pattern recognition of more than 60 chart patterns, indicators, and standard oscillators. You can also set up custom screens and email alerts, and monitor real-time technical analysis. While built into the StreetSmart Edge platform, the chart pattern recognition application is provided by Recognia ®. a third-party provider of investment research products.
