5/1 Adjustable Rate Mortgage (ARM): 4.000%, 1.125 discount points, 3.362% APR

Switching to mortgage application activity, the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) released the results of its latest weekly survey last week. Loan applications for mortgage refinancing tumbled 10%, according to the organizations data. The Purchase Index sank 7%.
