Michael Goodwin is the Managing Partner and founder of the Bluefin Companies. His trading career started on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange with Susquehanna Investment Group in 1990. Mike quickly moved to SIGs headquarters in Philadelphia and worked closely with the principals of that firm for three years, primarily focusing on domestic equity derivative trading.

He then moved on to Morgan Stanley in New York, where he was the senior trader running the banks domestic equity index derivatives trading desk, regularly trading/dealing with many of the worlds largest users of U.S. equity derivatives for three years in the mid 1990s. Michael then spent three years at Deutsche Bank, as Managing Director of Index Derivatives at their New York offices. He founded Bluefin in 2001 and actively manages the Firms day-to-day risk and trading activities.

Bertrand Chan manages trading strategies and teams based out of Bluefins New York and Hong Kong offices. He began his career with JP Morgan in 1994 as a programmer for the Global Equities group. In 1996, he moved to Susquehanna Investment Group in Philadelphia. Over his seven year career at SIG, he traded listed and over-the-counter equity options, Index options, ETFs, and ETF Options.

Bert joined Bluefin in 2004 to broaden its international trading and exposure, and was asked to become a Partner in January 2007.

Bluefin Companies

Arthur Duquette is actively involved with trading and managing the activities of the Bluefin Companies in Chicago. He began his trading career at OConnor and Associates in the F/X options area and then moved to the Helios Group where he became the Managing Partner in 1998.

Art was the point person in negotiating the sale of the Helios Group to Bear Stearns in early 2001. While a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns he was the Global Head of Electronic Trading and the Global Co-Head of Volatility Trading for all equity products. Art joined the Bluefin Companies as a Partner in 2004.

Gennady Zavilevich actively trades and manages trading teams based in Bluefin’s New York office. Gennady began his trading career with Bluefin in 2002 when he was offered one of the firm’s first entry-level jobs. He started as an Assistant Trader on the floor of the American Stock Exchange and became a trader shortly after. On the AMEX, Gennady made markets in various equity and index based products. In 2005, he moved to Bluefin’s off-floor headquarters, where he developed and built-out trading strategies for the firm.

Gennady has been actively involved in the firm’s recruitment efforts throughout his career at Bluefin. He was invited to join the firm as a partner in January 2012.
