Please Note: OIC Event is free with coffee and lunch. Make sure to register for either track.

Hi Everyone:

The Option Industry Council contacted our club right after we announced our follow up March 5th option class and invited our members to their one day event on Saturday March 10 with two parallel tracks at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. At the time we scheduled our March 5th meeting we were not aware of the OIC event on March 10. Please see below.

So we decided that in the best interest of everyone to cancel our March 5th condensed class and encourage everyone to attend either of the tracks on Saturday March 10. In addition to the excellent presentations by industry professionals you will go home with a packet of all the presentations for further study and to use as a future reference.

Please if you plan to attend make sure to register and honor your commitment as seating is limited. Please understand that if you register and don’t show up then you will take the empty seat away from someone else.

To register go to:

Thanks, Joe Murad

Session Descriptions

Option Greeks and Volatility:

The option greeks are talked about a lot, but do you know how they can affect an option’s price? This presentation will take what some think is a complex topic and turn it into something easy to understand. You’ll also learn how volatility can make — or break — a trade.

Butterfly Strategies:

How does a bull and bear spread equal a butterfly? Explore this limited risk, non-directional options strategy to find out. The session starts with a review of vertical spreads, why they are important, and then moves into the nitty-gritty of three types of butterflies call, put and iron butterflies. Learn the difference between being long or short and about early assignment risk. Examine each butterfly strategy as well as their risk/reward profiles.

Putting the Pieces Together Market Cues, Price Action and Technical Indicators:

Good trading strategies are not made up of a hodge-podge group of indicators, but a set of indicators that work together and reinforce each other. This session will cover price analysis and preferred technical indicators that can help a trader build confidence in their trading decisions. Hear ideas on how to assess the appropriate environment to trade. Gain a better understanding of the fear of ‘losing or losing out’, a mindset which can drive traders to make impulsive decisions.

The March meeting of The Atlanta Option Investors Club will be held on Monday March 5th at 6:30 PM at Georgia State University Alpharetta Center located at:

3775 Brookside Parkway. Alpharetta, Ga 30022.
