The functions of the Mutual Funds Marketing Department include:
Due Diligence — The firm currently offers access to more than 200 fund families covering more than 10,000 individual funds. In addition, more than 30 different 529 College Savings Plans are available.
Mutual Fund Analysis — The Mutual Funds Marketing Department employs qualitative and quantitative analysis to select, evaluate, and monitor mutual funds that appear on a recommended list of attractive funds across more than 30 asset classes.
Portfolio Analysis — Creating custom portfolio analysis reports that provide clients a complete and compelling representation of their asset allocation, fixed income and equity style distribution, sector weightings, risk and reward analysis, regional exposure, and much more.
Morningstar Advisor Workstation — Available on all desktops and provides Financial Advisors access to on-demand investment intelligence on mutual funds, closed-end funds, ETFs, and stock. It also provides a tool to create client-friendly sales proposals and hypotheticals, evaluate multi-asset portfolios, and create custom searches.
ETFs
The rapid growth in number and volume of exchange traded funds (ETFs) requires that advisors are kept up to date with the latest information on products as they are brought to market. Our ETF group can assist you in selecting the best ETFs to implement an asset allocation strategy or trading strategy to match a clients financial objectives and risk tolerance. In addition, they will help you identify how ETFs can be used for portfolio completion, increasing diversification, hedging, and tax loss harvesting.
Fund Review — The ETF group explores the various factors which impact the performance of an ETF. From evaluating the methodology of an index to trading liquidity, they will monitor this information in order to evaluate, select, and monitor performance of recommended exchange traded funds.
Highlight Trends — The group also reviews fundamental and technical research comments to identify ETF investing opportunities.
