The Myth about Mutual Funds
Many people hand over their hard earned money to mutual funds which give them a statement each month itemizing the gains and losses on their investment decisions.
Besides investing in ordinary stocks and bonds, commodities, other Funds, etc, which are often bought and sold at inopportune times, Mutual Funds consume a large portion of the funds earnings in fees, administrative expenses, legal expenses, etc.
This chart shows the overall market (Dow Jones Industrial Average) which has averaged approximately 3% annually over the past 10 years.
DJIA
The following table shows the top 10 Mutual Funds over the past 10 years as reported by Bloomberg.
Funds that did well in the past dont necessarily do well in the future. In fact, looking at the chart, the top 10 performers averaged only about 2.4% return annually over the past 5 years.

Why use this Investment Strategy?
The rating formulas used on this site are based on similar formulas that the institutional investors mutual funds, hedge funds, pension funds etc, use. We, however, want to be more selective than the average institutional investor.
We want only the best companies with the greatest potential for growth and at the right price. Once we find these companies, we will only invest in them when the time is right. This involves some patience but the pay-off is huge.
If we, for whatever reason, pick a company that turns out to give poor returns, we have no problem in letting the automatic Stop-loss order that we place on all questionable stocks kick-in and thus sell it for us, if we havent already sold it ourselves. We can then invest that money in a better company according to our formula.
In this site you will learn the thinking behind our strategy and why we selected the criteria that we did. If youre not convinced of the soundness of the principles outlined here, then you shouldnt use it, but having been actively investing in the stock market for more than 20 years, this is the only system we have found that actually works.
