PIMCO Statement Regarding the PIMCO GIS Total Return Bond Fund as at 30 November 2014

The PIMCO Global Investors Series Plc (“GIS”) Total Return Bond Fund (“the Fund”) achieved a net after fee return of 0.78%, outperforming its benchmark and also outperforming 93% of its competitors in the 140 peer universe 1. In addition to the Fund’s strong performance, outflows during November slowed considerably to approximately -$550m. The Fund’s assets were $10.9bn as of 30 November 2014.

Flows in the Fund have continued to stabilize. Average daily outflows from the Fund during the last five trading days in November were less than 4% of the average daily outflows from the first five days following Bill Gross’s departure on September 26, 2014.

Performance across the GIS fund range on an absolute and relative basis continues to be strong. During the cumulative period of October and November, 79% of the GIS funds delivered positive returns and two-thirds outperformed their benchmarks 2.
