How do I get started?

If you are already a trader or a scalper, then state what instruments you trade and a bit about how you do things now. If it seems you are qualified, then you will be invited to subscribe, and will be given access to the software and guidance you need to succeed. If not, at our discretion, you will be advised that this program may not be suitable for you.

Do I need to know about trading?

It helps if you are already a trader and are familiar with trading concepts. We reserve the right to refuse clearly unqualified traders at our sole discretion. However, this is such a different technique of trading that existing skills can actually get in the way of the learning process. If you are bright and motivated, you can generally learn these lower risk exposure techniques through hard work and training.

Do I need a lot of money?

No.  Forex offers much Lower Risk Exposure trading and lower cost of entry than many other markets. Minimum funding for Forex accounts can be as low as $1000 .  If you are a non-U.S. person, then you can get Live access to the Dukascopy Swiss Forex Marketplace through the incredible HyperScalper platform.   Also with the LMAX exchange, if you qualify as a pro trader, you may also license HyperScalper for LMAX.  Then your HS subscription and training are included for all you need to get started.

Can U.S. residents use Dukascopy or LMAX?

No, but Dukascopy offers free Community accounts which can drive our powerful analytics, even if you are unable to trade with them and must use a U.S. compatible brokerage.  Contact and talk with us about opportunities !  It is sad that U.S. persons are restricted in many ways, due to FATCA regulations but that doesnt need to prevent you from doing quality trading.

What is active trading?

Active trading is a very specialized activity, and scalping is often used to describe trades taken during major or day sessions, which are not held overnight or for long periods of time. The required tools, analysis, charting and order execution, for active trading are often lacking in detail or unavailable. Its best to think about trading as incrementally using the market responsibly, taking modest profits, and keeping risk of losses under control. Scalping is best considered to be continuous trading, where the trader profits frequently from smaller moves. In doing so, the trader takes smaller risks, goes for smaller gains, and strictly controls losses. Scalping daytraders hold no positions overnight.

Why consider Incremental trading?

Continuous incremental trading offers a better controlled risk environment, so that there are fewer surprises. Without holding positions overnight, there is greater control and the trader is in control of the position and thus the risk exposure. More importantly, when most traders see no opportunities at all, the HS trader can identify trade opportunities within a lower risk exposure environment, by following specified guidelines..

Why do I need special software?

Active or short term trading requires relatively fast realtime indicators with a level of resolution which is greater than 1 minute or 3 minute bars / candlesticks. Entirely new indicators must be created which are capable of informing the trader in a timely fashion that a position is likely to be either a good one or a poor one, and it is this level of indicator detail which few generic platforms are able to provide.

Why is Forex Currency Trading used?

The wide range of lot sizes available in Forex facilitates Low Risk Exposure, and wide ranging flexibility. With a small account size, the individual trader can buy long or sell short and modulate risk exposure through the trading session. Risk levels as low as 10 cents per Tick/Pip to $100 per Tick/Pip with incremental risk modulation allow for a huge range of scalability and risk control, as appropriate for your account size.

What are Market Makers?

Market Makers, or MMs control the markets and offer liquidity by bidding and offering so that retail players always find a market and can always buy and sell. Successful trading involves discovering where the MMs are going to move the market; and clues to their intentions are provided by the extremely sensitive analysis of the Hyper Scalper platform.
