The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented professional with in-depth knowledge of agricultural and soft commodity markets to join our team of market specialists.
The role will entail close interaction with Bloomberg clients and prospects across EMEA, the Bloomberg sales-force and Business Development. Whilst the role will require working as an integral part of a team, it will also involve a high level of autonomy.
Location: London.
The responsibilities:
-Protecting the existing terminal base by influencing customer usage patterns, increasing product adoption, and helping the sales-force to generate and close new sales opportunities.
-Building and maintaining key relationships with decision-makers and senior financial professionals.
-Shaping future product development by providing business managers with actionable feedback on the latest trends, analysis competitive landscape, requirements for product localization, regulations and market practices.
-Marketing the product by speaking at external events and industry conferences; organizing and delivering seminars, webinars and audio-visual presentations; writing content for Bloomberg on-line and printed publications.
-Furthering the knowledge of our sales-force by designing and delivering customized training.
-Formulating responses to queries from prospects, customers, salespeople and our Help Desk.
-Willingness to travel within EMEA
The qualifications:
-Demonstrable expertise and extensive market experience in agricultural and soft commodity markets, ideally gained while working in a front office position within a bank or commodity trading house.
-Strong understanding of trading strategies, futures markets/physical markets and comprehensive understanding of underlying fundamentals that drive agricultural and soft commodity markets.
-Extensive and strong relationships in the market place.
-Ability to drive a pro-active strategy and have good communication skills.
-Strong training skills and ability to adjust/switch between articulating complex concepts to user base with very wide range of level of understanding of Commodity Markets.
-Dynamic learning curve of Bloomberg Product and Business to be able to take active part in product development strategy and sales strategy with the sales-force.
