How do I calculate margin?
Margin is calculated using the standard method (product price x volume x units per contract / leverage)
Example: (1501.70-1499.50) / 0.25 = 8.8 increments
Profit and loss = market movement x increment value x volume
The first currency list is the base currency.
Opening a demo account is even easier. Simply go to our forex demo account page and fill in your personal details to generate the account log-in details. Please ensure you click on the drop down menu and select the platform you would like to trade with, even if you plan to use the MetaTrader4 Demo platform.
What type of accounts do you offer at ThinkForex?
We offer 4 different ways to apply for an account at ThinkForex: Individual, Joint, Corporate, Superannuation. Each account type is outlined below:
Individual Applying for an Individual Account is simple and easy. Please complete the online application form and submit ID and Proof of Address documents. You can also submit these by emailing accounts@thinkforex.com with the documents attached.

Joint Joint account applications are much like individual accounts, but there are two applications whom must complete personal details and send through identification and proof of residence documents.
Corporate — Applying for an Individual Account is simple and easy. Please complete the online application form and submit ID, Proof of Address and Corporate documents as indicated on the application. You can also submit these by emailing accounts@thinkforex.com with the documents attached.
Superannuation We now accept Superannuation accounts if you have a Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF). To open a Superannuation Account we require clients to complete an offline application form. submit ID and proof of address documents, as well as list all the representatives of the Superannuation fund by completing a Superannuation fund form.
What base currencies can you open an account in?
We offer a number of different currency base options for our trading accounts. These are as follows: USD, EUR, JPY, GBP, AUD, CAD, NZD, CHF, and SGD. We also accept funds in other currencies, but currency conversion fees apply. Specifically, 3% currency conversion fees are applicable to any currency conversions. These are charges by the intermediary banks and are by no means charged by ThinkForex.
