We are looking for an experienced portfolio manager with proven knowledge of portfolio construction, macro-economic fundamental analysis, and debt instruments.

Your main responsibilities

To support the lead portfolio manager in the decision making process

To perform top-quality and in-depth country analysis across the EEMEA region

To generate value-adding investment ideas and recommendations on issuers and debt instruments

To ensure that the research process is consistently applied across all countries and securities under coverage

To develop and maintain strong relationships with other investment teams within INGIM, government officials of countries under coverage, rating agencies and industry sell side analysts

To support portfolio management investment process, risk management, performance attribution and reporting

To support the marketing and sales process

Your experience and skills

Experience (at least 7 years) in managing fixed income portfolios in emerging markets

Deep understanding of macro-economic fundamentals and debt instruments

Strong analytical and writing skills

Emerging markets experience is critical

Relevant Master degree plus CFA or other relevant professional qualification is a preference

Excellence in sovereign analysis/valuation

Local markets experience is a preference

The vacancy is within the hard currency sovereign team of the EMD organization with the primary responsibility of supporting the lead portfolio manager in the day-to-day management of the funds and mandates that hold emerging market external hard currency sovereign bonds. The position requires an experienced portfolio manager with proven knowledge of portfolio construction, macro-economic fundamental analysis, and debt instruments. The EMD team operates on a global multi-site platform with personnel located in The Hague, Singapore and Atlanta, managing portfolios in external hard currency sovereign and corporate credit debt, as well as local currency and local bond strategies.
