A large commodity trading house specialised in the soft commodity space has recently begun a search for a senior trader to be based in their. A large commodity trading house specialised in the soft commodity space has recently begun a search for a senior trader to be based in their Shanghai office. My client has a globally established reputation in the soft and agricultural markets and is seeking a senior trader to focus on grain, wheat and corn products. The position will be a direct trading role, in both physical and financial markets, and with the aim of developing the companies soft commodity trading business across Asia.

Responsibilities for Soft Commodity Trader, Shanghai, Highly Competitive, (Soft Commodity, Grain, Corn, Wheat, Trader) role:

- Leading and developing a trading team covering both physical and financial soft commodity products

- Coverage of a portfolio of commodity products covering grain, wheat and corn markets

- Developing a market trading strategy to expand the firms grain trade flow across Asian markets

- Training of junior traders on the team

- Provide support to business development and marketing teams

Skills / Attributes required for Soft Commodity Trader, Shanghai, Highly Competitive, (Soft Commodity, Grain, Corn, Wheat, Trader ) role:

- Vice-President to Director in terms of level of experience trading soft commodities

- Ideally 8-10 years experience in the soft commodity markets

- A passion for the soft commodity markets, as well being a decisive, approachable and results-driven individual

- English speaking capabilities essential, ideally with some Mandarin ability

- Be willing to be based in Shanghai
