Position and Business Unit Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering, validating, supporting, and amending descriptive reference/ market data as ingested from numerous industry data vendors.  In addition, responsibilities will include helping to provide for high quality data, efficient processes and highly transparent and effective support for both internal and external consumers.

The associate will work within a rapid paced and growing Security Master and Pricing Data Management environment. Security Master and Pricing drives the breadth, depth, and accuracy of data to ensure securities information is ingested, maintained, and distributed correctly through the firm’s processes and reported properly throughout our customer’s holdings.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the research and maintenance of Equities, Options, Corporate, Government, Municipal Bond and Alternative Investment reference/market data in accordance with firm’s policies and procedures.
  • Daily tasks include monitor receipt of data from automated feeds, review exception reports, research discrepancies, respond to ad-hoc requests, obtain data from various internal and external sources and update systems accordingly.
  • Actively participate in the identification of data quality issues, address root cause and put safeguards in place to mitigate future concerns.
  • Further drive data quality by highlighting areas for process improvement, formulate recommendations to resolve, and work as part of a team to re-engineer current work flows.
  • Gather, track and analyze metrics to measure effectiveness of operational processes.
  • Stay focused to achieve departmental goals.
  • Develop Subject Matter Expert so as to provide superior client support for both internal and external customers.
  • Assist in system projects by providing subject matter expertise and participating in user acceptance testing.
