I need a credit derivative expert who can help me with or explain wrapping a sovereign instrument against/with a derivative product. To give you an overview, right now i am working on a transaction where the trade bank of iraq has issued a financial guarantee to rebuild infrastructure and since iraqi currency has not been revalued we will most likely need a risk solution around the underlying asset in order to receive a syndicated loan against the guarantee. I was looking at going directly to credit derivative product companies but i feel as though it may be better for me to negotiate these derivatives directly and or have an expert create the model that we can us for sovereign instrument with no rating or any instrument with little or no rating.
