An Analysts job — Make a personal impact right from day one
You will have an extraordinary opportunity to experience Asset Management at J.P. Morgan and make a personal impact right from the start. After six to eight weeks of world-class training, you will be immersed in on-the-job training and networking opportunities that will continue throughout your career.
As an Analyst in Asset Management, your role will often take you outside of departmental boundaries, working with portfolio managers, private bankers, client advisors, global investment specialists or traders. You can also expect to interact with many other professionals, such as heads of business groups, marketing teams and product specialists.
So, whether youre conducting research on individual firms, selling multiple products in Investment Management or assisting with product development in derivatives in Global Wealth Management, you will be working with outstanding colleagues and senior people to deliver top-notch solutions.
Training and development
As a new Analyst, you will participate in one of J.P. Morgans world-class training programs. You will spend six to eight weeks with colleagues across Asset Management and from all over the world. This will provide you the opportunity to understand the Asset Management business and network across the different areas.
During training, you will gain exposure to senior management. You will dive into systems, learn different processes, review finance and accounting rules, improve your technical skills and participate in several networking events.

During training, you will be paired with an Analyst advisor. This second-or third-year Analyst can be the person you go to with any questions or for advice. He or she can help you navigate through the Asset Management business, as well as J.P. Morgan.
After the three-year program, consistently strong Analysts may be promoted to Associate within Asset Management. Many Analysts who complete the program go on to business school or pursue other positions, inside and outside of J.P. Morgan.
Your career path
The depth and breadth of our Asset Management business ensures a wide range of possible career paths. You may start off as an Analyst on the fixed income team and realize that you enjoy that type of fundamental analysis but want to see the equity side of the business. You can leverage your experience to join the Equity Research Group. From there, you will gain valuable exposure to the equity markets and may later decide youd like to work closely with clients in Global Wealth Management or Global Investment Management the possibilities are endless.
